The iks aquastar alpha series provides greatest accuracy, ease of use, and maximum reliability. The systems are available as portable hand-held instruments (item nos. 1030-1034) and as measuring/regulation systems (item nos. 1040-1044) with a switch socket and mains adapter for permanent operation. Individual systems for the parameters pH, redox potential and temperature are currently available as well. Systems for the factors conductivity and oxygen are to follow. Besides its accomplished design, its practical special functions are thoroughly convincing, too. Or can you name another system (apart form the aquaristic computers iks aquastar and iks aquastar midi) that, for example, when calibrating, automatically recognises the calibration solution and simultaneously performs a sensor test? Or do you know of any other system that allows you to store readings and call them up directly on the system later on and display them without a PC, simply by pressing a key or at preset intervals? It is this facility that gives you the overall picture of your past readings thus quickly revealing any trends. Practical: The battery-operated systems (item nos. 1030-1034) can be extended, even at a later date, to form a measuring and regulation system designed for permanent operation, simply by connecting the optionally available Power Station (item no. 1050). The alarm function: An integrated alarm function assures greater safety. You can select an upper as well as a lower alarm setting. If, for whatever reason, one of these alarm settings is reached, the Power Station switch socket will be turned off. At the same time the alarm status will be appear on the display. The result is a reliable and effective prevention of damage. Software: An easy-to-use programme with graphic presentation and analysis of the stored reading is currently in development.
